Cultural heritage network issues 10 demands for Berlin’s heritage policy

 

28 citizens‘ initiatives, associations and protagonists of the Berlin cultural heritage scene that contribute to a respectful, sustainable and social handling of Berlin’s cultural heritage have joined forces under the roof of KulturerbeNetz.Berlin in 2017 to promote an active heritage policy. Their motto is “experience, explain, preserve”.

On the occasion of this year’s European Heritage Days the network handed a list of 10 specific demands to the Senator for Culture, members of the Cultural Committee and the new head of the Berlin Monument Authority. Among the petitions are the right of action for heritage associations, the demand for international networking and education work or the consideration of new innovative ways of funding.
